I don't know if any of you have stuff that would qualify for the following genres (urban fantasy, paranormal romance, horror, and steampunk--whatever that means by the way) but over HERE, in September, they are accepting manuscripts. I've heard some good things about them and the submission process seems very friendly to first-timer novelists. Someone I know has published a few books with them and they were pleased.

Sounds cool!
Steampunk, if I understand it, is some sort of sub-genre of sci-fi-- stories with high-tech elements in anachronistic settings (i.e., something like computers in ancient Egypt). EDIT: looked it up. The emphasis seems to be more on Victorian settings and sensibility, combined w/ high tech elements and alternative history. Talk about niche.

In storytelling, yeah. And then you've got folks who are all into forging the gadgetry itself, which can be damn cool if I do say so.
